***4.5 STARS***

Holy Moly this was a good book! I needed this read to bring me out of my recent reading slump.

Charlynn is down on her luck when she finds an ad online for a "Girl Friday". Someone is looking for an assistant to help take care of their business and home. At first she is hesitant thinking this is an old man because who else uses the term "Girl Friday"?

Maxx is overwhelmed with his life. He is a mechanic/motorcycle restorer and getting over a disastrous breakup. His life is disorganized and out of order and he needs help so he places an ad online. When Charly answers the ad he thinks he is getting a young man to come and assist him, but he is really surprised when Charly turns out to be a she instead of a he.

I loved this couple. Maxx was all growly and grumpy alpha motorcycle riding hunk. He has been hurt by a previous relationship and has definite trust issues (which he should after what he endured). Charly is a ball of energy, quirky, and she fulfills everything Maxx needs. She checks all his boxes and improves him in ways that the reader doesn't even expect. She is perfect for him and it is fun to see how they grow together. She truly helps him to love again. The attraction between them is intense and the love scenes are steamy.

I highly recommend this feel good book! You will definitely enjoy it.

Revved To The Maxx is a stand alone, sweet, sexy, snarky, fun romance by Melanie Moreland. Have you ever fallen in love with a book before it was even completed? As soon as I learned that Melanie was writing a book about a broody, growly hero who specializes in motorcycle restorations, I felt it. That little swirly feeling, that slightly accelerated heart beat. I just knew I was going to fall in love. Then, the cover was released. And I was a goner. Now that I’ve read it, let me tell you, that every one of those feelings came true.

Maxx Renolds is thirty seven years old and lives alone with his dog. He runs a mechanic shop on his property by himself but his true love is motorcycle restorations. The mechanic work is the majority of his income so he doesn’t have as much time as he’d like to work on motorcycles. He is so busy, he has let the paperwork and organization side of things deteriorate, until it was out of control. Then there is the upkeep of the house and the fact that he can’t cook to save his life. He needs help. Someone to both help in the office and his home. Someone named Charly answers his ad. He hadn’t thought a man would be interested, but that would probably be an even better fit. But when he went to pick Charly up, it wasn’t a man at all, but a tiny, red haired force of nature that turns his world upside down.

“She was more than I hoped for, and way better than I deserved. She was simply Charly. And that, I realized, was something incredibly special.”

Charlynn (Charly) Hooper is twenty five years old. She is living in Toronto but her situation is deteriorating rapidly. She needs to get out. With no money and no where to go, she’s about to panic. Until she saw the ad. She could do this. She knows a bit about garages. She’s a good cook, a great organizer. And it’s a place to live. Little did she know what she was really walking in to.

“I think you’re the sexiest man I’ve ever seen. Especially for an old curmudgeon.”

kissing woman with red hair - Google Search

Let’s just say that Charly and Maxx’s relationship got off to a crazy start. But Charly was nothing if not determined. She had no where else to go. She would do this job and do it well. Maxx wouldn’t know what hit him!

“I had no idea what was going to happen when I let you get in the truck.”
“What happened?”
“You brought the sun back into my life, Red.”

And so begins Charly and Maxx’s story. Charly has a way about her. She charms anyone she comes in contact with. The last thing Maxx wants is to start anything with any woman. He tries so hard to resist her. But with Charly, that’s simply not possible.

“This was more complicated than I had thought it was. And I had no idea how to stop it. Or, if I even wanted to.”

Maxx is a growly, broody, cantankerous man but Charly is a ray of light into his world. Their chemistry is off the charts hot. She’s the light to his dark, the smile to his scowl, and he can’t resist her. But will she really be happy out here in the middle of nowhere with a man like him? Or is this just a stop in her journey, on to bigger and better things? This book deserves all the stars. Five isn’t enough. I couldn’t love these two more. If Melanie wrote books like this for the rest of her life, I would be a happy woman. If you want a book that will brighten your world, make you laugh, make you sigh, and make you swoon, this is for you.

Omg this book chapped my ass.
I just couldn’t get past the whole premise. Basically Charly goes in blind to a job off the Internet after a set of unfortunate circumstances -one of which is being scammed by a roommate who she meets off the Internet 🙄- and she agrees to basically be this dude’s slave/office manager/ marketing and media liaison/ housekeeper/ baker/ whore.
Maxx acts like he’s doing her a favour and makes her sleep in a gross room over his garage and charges her around $3000 a month board for it (see my notes, I did the math).
After she slaves away for him and keeps his bed warm for a few months he decides she is way better than his user ex girlfriend and marries her.
I mean who wouldn’t marry a person who increases the revenue of your small business by a hundred fold, cleans, organizes and redecorates your home and office, sucks your cock, cooks and serves your meals and bakes you pies. Seems like every man’s dream. And if he marries her he saves the measly $1000 a month he was paying her.
It’s every man’s trad wife kink but I fail to see how this is romantic for the woman? What does she get? I guess he has a big cock and growls a lot.
Easy peasy life for him.

Well would ya look at that.
I’ve gone and fallen for the grumpy, growly curmudgeon named Maxx with serious trust issues and a HUGE... heart.

Having been burned, Maxx finds it difficult to trust anyone. Especially some fiery redhead who lied about being female. Okay, she didn’t really lie...she just didn’t point it out.

When Charly & Maxx first meet, there’s no denying the sparks. The night before her new job starts, they run into each other at a bar, literally. She smacks into a wall of big muscly hotness. She is drawn to his ruggedness and he was attracted to her beauty, sass, and spunk. One night of passion wouldn’t hurt anyone right?

Little did she know that he was going to be her new boss. And little did HE know, this was the new Girl Friday who’d be starting at his shop the following day.

AWKWARD.
Let the FUN begin!

I absolutely loved their interactions, both in and out of the bedroom. Two very likable characters who are awesome by themselves. But put them together? Holy combustible chemistry. These two fed off of each other and I couldn’t have loved it more.

She was the burning match to his gasoline. She knew how to push his buttons and loved to rile him up. Because a riled up Maxx is a very, very sexy Maxx. And when he snapped? BOOM. Passion, fire, and some serious tingles came soon after.

The banter was highly entertaining! I laughed so many times throughout this story and highlighted so many quotes. Excellent storytelling from this author made me never want to put this book down. This well-written RomCom was exactly what I needed.

In addition to being fun, this story also had many heart-warming scenes that made me want to give out some hugs and plenty of swoony moments that made me want to climb a certain mechanic like a tree.

Charly uses her charm, her sass, and her strong work ethic to show Maxx just how amazing and trustworthy she can be. She slowly melts away that ice around his heart. It took a lot of work, but she succeeded. And that big ol’ growly butt’s loving and caring and protective side came shining through beautifully.

If you love a good RomCom with a grumpy, sexy AF Hero and a bubbly, sassy heroine who loves to poke the bear, I highly recommend this one!

4.5 Two Halves Making A Whole Stars
REVVED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE-It's Only 99 CENTS!!!
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
We are so lucky Melanie Moreland had an idea...Let's have a broody, Alpha...one who had a wonderful relationship with his parents, so he would know how to love...but have him experience a past relationship that would rip his ability to trust right out of his chest. Have him try to get his life back, be the owner of the garage his father had owned, and be The Expert in motorcycle restoration.

Then match him with a woman who had a solid job history only to have the rug pulled out from under her.
First, the company she had been happily working at, closes. Then the roommate she had been giving her rent portion ripped her off, never paid the creepy apartment manager, and stole everything out of the apartment that wasn't nailed down. Now our gal has no cash, has this creepy guy wanting his "rent" in trade, ah hmmm, and is scared to death.

What should our author do...why have our guy, Maxx decide to post a crazy ad for a Gal Friday on a worksite and have Charly see it. Then have them only communicate through text or email causing fun banter but nothing to identify Charly is no Charlie. Charly is pushed to reach out and ask if the job is still open after the creepy manager becomes more and more threatening.

The deal is done because with Maxx being new to all of this internet hiring only asks a few questions and all of Charly's answers work. Arrangements are made for Charly to arrive in the town where Maxx lives on Saturday. Because Charly needs to get the hell away from her place, she leaves early and arrives on Friday.

Now, what else could Ms. Moreland create to make this good...Why have Charly eat dinner at the local bar and have Maxx there, too... Oh, and have them get their names confused, have chemistry off the charts, act on it, and then both feel it was something special.

Saturday arrives, Maxx pulls up in his truck looking for his guy...and his guy turns out to be the amazing woman who rang his bell last night. Oh, the rage, fireworks, and uncertainly. Maxx feels like he was lied to...Charly explains she really didn't lie but promises to be the best employee ever...her father had a garage, she knows all about cars and motorcycles, and also is an amazing baker of pies...

This is the setup and we are off and running with a grouchy, musclebound, sexy man, and this spitfire who has this way of making everything alright. Each has backstories that will touch your heart. There are lots of sexy times and it takes a hot minute for Maxx to put two and two together understanding how he really feels for Charly.

Charly is a force of nature and has this get-it-done spirit. She organizes everything and with her special charm causes Maxx to see his way to trusting again. There was only one thing that caused me to not do 5 stars for this type of read...Charly's special phrases. They were unique and good yet said a bit more than I wanted.

This was fun, quick, steamy, and everything a Melanie Moreland fan would want. I have a sneaky feeling there might be more from this garage...after all, there were two other sexy guys who need their stories told.

Perfectly imperfect makes an unforgettable romance. Moreland goes beyond the happy ending and exposes the hard road leading up to forever. Maxx and Charly are a mass of disarray. He's a pain in the ***. She's a thorn in his side. From humor to heartache, Revved never loses it's sass. Less than beautiful finds just right by refusing to be anything but itself.

Here we go... I have not read this book once or twice, but now five times. Yes, it is that good. Some may say I have a bias - but rest assured this is now one of my top three couples that Melanie Moreland has written. To say, this book checked all my boxes fall short to describe the fun, sexy, and heartfelt storytelling that graced my kindle.

I am going to admit to my followers - I am having a severe case of review writer's envy. I will case out my friends to try to get a handle on the emotions I want to spill out. Damnit. There are folks who say it brilliantly like these peeps -----

“I just knew I was going to fall in love. Then, the cover was released. And I was a goner. Now that I’ve read it, let me tell you, that every one of those feelings came true." Carol Goodreads Addict

“This book ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I swooned and fell hook, line and sinker for the extremely hot Maxx and what can I say about Charly apart from she is the woman we would all love to be.”
 Jackie Wright

“Because a riled up Maxx is a very, very sexy Maxx. And when he snapped? BOOM. Passion, fire, and some serious tingles came soon after." Lori R

Time to get to my nitty-gritty -

Things that worked: Everything. This isn't a flip statement. Start to finish it's 340 pages of pure romance entertainment. Where some books fill in with stories outside the romance when I want a book that says "I am a romance so read me." I know I can depend on Ms. Moreland to tell me a romantic story each time. This one was about the couple and their journey to a HEA - all about their chemistry and attraction. It's not just humor or sexy times - you are going to get well-rounded storytelling to enjoy. Getting to know the heart of these characters made me so fall in love with this book.

Things to consider: Depends disposables. Because Charly is my girl crush and made me giggly. Strong but not overpowering heroine. She knows what she wants and figures out buttons to push to get Maxx to react. Out loud snorting may occur. You've been warned.

You don't want to just READ this book - you want to buy it. Because it's going to be a re-read when you want to feel good, be entertained and fall in love along with the characters. Thank you Melanie Moreland for writing another favorite. And with that said...

My lovely friend got this right - “I would so be up for a second book - or a book about other characters, so we can see more of Charly and Maxx.” Becca

I smiled from the very first page of reading Revved to the Maxx by the very talented Melanie Moreland. This is a story of a resilient, smart, positive, snarky, sassy, spitfire of a heroine, the very loveable Charlynn, also known as Charly. She’s everything I admire in that she is resourceful, hopeful, and hardworking. She makes thinks happen with her can do attitude and meets her match when she answers an ad and says “yes” to working for Maxx Reynolds. Maxx is quite clear as to what is and what is not in the job description working for Reynolds Restoration and Repairs, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and that is where all the fun begins.

It must have been fate as these two were meant to be. I loved everything about how they first meet and how they were instantly attracted to one another, both going out of their comfort zones because they were unable to deny their insane chemistry. Their banter and wit is legendary, and they each could give as good as they got. I loved his alpha, broody, bossy side, how protective and possessive he was, and how he just lights up when she is near.

As her boss, he tried to deny his feelings, but didn’t do a very good job of keeping his hands to himself. I can’t blame the man as she was a little temptress, and I laughed so hard at how easily he would get turned on! I loved how she doesn’t cower to all 6’5” of this sexy beastly man, because she knows he has a big squishy heart even when he is glowering. He is so in awe of her and appreciates her dedicating her days and often nights to helping him get his home and business in order, and it’s very sweet. It’s often what isn’t said that tells a person how they feel, and Maxx’s actions speak volumes. Swoon city!

They’ve both been hurt by being taken advantage of before and are a bit guarded, but both need each other more than they care to admit. The writing was so engaging; every single word was cleverly written so that their individual personalities shone through. The entire book had me smiling, cheering, laughing, sighing, swooning, and just feeling giddy.

I love how they have so much in common enjoying the simple things in life. They appreciate good food and friendship, and working hard to make a comfortable life. Love the supporting characters too and especially the theme of forgiveness and giving others a second chance. She was a master at marketing and a real rock star organizing his business and coming up with a solid business plan to make it more successful. I love a confident heroine and Charly is one of my top favorites by far.

Love this small, peaceful town and that this book is high on laughs and low on angst with a bit of suspense with the local thugs. Everything comes full circle and the last few chapters tie everything together so beautifully. This book was fun, sexy, smart, sweet, and tender, and I especially loved the bonus epilogue into the future. Highly recommend!! Loved it so much.

4.5 Stars!

MILD Spoilers

Wow! I REALLY liked this one! It's not necessarily a perfect book, there were some faults, so I keep going back and forth if I should rate it a 4 or 5 star, but I did enjoy the book overall so I'll just keep it at a 4.5 rounded up.

The book was a bit slow to start, but when they finally meet it really picked up and I only enjoyed the book from there. The end was also a little anti-climatic, but I'm also glad that the author didn't do some big cliche revelation or fake betrayal thing that causes another cliche separation. Instead, I really liked how the whole book was just their building feelings for each other and their trust strengthening until they decided they couldn't be without each other. It was a sweet and simple ending, but I really liked it. One thing I didn't like though, was how they live and stay together in the house that his ex lived in with him too, but whatever (I guess I'll be an adult this time 🙄).

This was a low angst, but also super sweet and sexy book. I LOVED the hero plain and simple, and the heroine was a tough nut, and I really liked her (though some of the expressions she kept using were a little OTT), but I love that she gave as good as she got and would just brush the hero off when he would say something grumpy. Their chemistry and the sex was 🔥 and I really enjoyed seeing the super sweet moments together when they would show how much they missed each other, or just little things that showed how much they cared. Her teasing him with her outfits and how he gets so riled up was honestly the best too.

Overall, this was a great book, and I'm kind of hoping we get some books for the side characters 🤞 Definitely recommend for those who want a sexy and enjoyable read without the OTT drama that so many books have nowadays😅

Safety:

· No OW/OM drama

· A decent amount of mentions of his ex that he had broken up with a year prior (she cheated on him and betrayed him) but they didn't bother me

· 12 yr age gap

· No virgins

· No Manhos 👌

Melanie never disappoints me with her books! I absolutely love this book!!❤️. The hero is broody, moody and has 10 foot walls around his heart. The heroine is feisty, sassy and just wants to feel safe. One night of pure unadulterated pleasure leads to some of the most hilarious antics I’ve read! Miscommunication, secrets, and shattered hearts fill this book with so many emotions. Lust, love, anger and forgiveness all have a place on the pages. Maxx and Charly have to learn to navigate the hurts of the past before they can figure out their future. Amazing read!!

Holy Moly! This book just fed my romantic sweet spot that was craving something unique, fun and intensely hot!

Charlynn was a heroine that I didn’t even know I wanted. I’m not sure I’ve ever read another character like her and I have now developed a new desire for more of this saucy, sweet heroine who knows how to give as well as get without being too much. How have I not found other heroines like her before?!

One of my favorite types of heroes is a grumpy, growly, big bear of a man and Maxx is exactly that! Add in the fact that he has a real hang up about the way Charly dresses when away from the house, and I couldn’t love him more!

ATV Maintenance | Sarasota, FL | Lawn Mower Service

This had so much going on making it impossible to put down even as I was cooking. I thought I knew what the angst/drama would be but I was so wrong which made for a pleasant surprise. The chemistry between Charly and Maxx felt real and had such an originality to it that I couldn’t get enough of them.

This ending not only had an amazing epilogue, there was a link for an extended epilogue and I can’t wait to open it up. Maxx and Charly will definitely be a book I’ll reread repeatedly. I can’t recommend this one enough!

"You brought the sun back into my life, Red." Oh my, Charly a/k/a Charlynn a/k/a Red, is my favorite kind of heroine -- strong, sassy and hopeful despite life's many disappointments and challenges. And then this spitfire meets growly, beastly Maxx Reynolds! These two burn up the pages with their insane chemistry and crazy, laugh out loud banter. I love strong female leads who can stand on their own and take care of themselves--that is, until they meet their perfect match and then they learn to stand together and fight together. This author nails it every time she creates these incredible, well-developed characters with storylines that are unique and heartwarming, but also sexy and sweet. The secondary characters add depth to the storyline and help bring out those "feels" that I always get when I read Melanie's work. And she is the absolute queen of epilogues! The epilogue and extended epilogue in this one made me cry happy tears like every other one this woman writes - no one does it better! Another 5-star winning read by one of my favorite authors.

I loved this SO much.

When Maxx needs an...assistant he turns to the internet for help. A wise cracking "boy" named Charly is the only plausible response to his unusual ad. Charly turns out to be a gorgeous, sunny, loveable woman who throws Maxx for a major loop. And then the fun really begins.

I LOVE grumpy heros and you don't get any grumpier than Maxx Reynolds. He barks, he yells, he's rude and I loved every bit of it! Charly can more than handle Maxx and every encounter shows a little more melting of Maxx's icy demeanor.

Revved to the Maxx is insanely funny, super steamy and intensely emotional. I can't wait to read it again!

HOLY MOLY, this may be my favorite Melanie Moreland book....EVER!
And that's saying something! Melanie never disappoints, but this one blew
me away. Maxx is tough, jaded and looking for nothing. Along comes Charly..
tough, sassy and full of gumption, and there you have it! A fantastic, happily
ever after that I couldn't put down. Highly recommend!

Gah! This book was everything! I know when Melanie writes a book, I will love it and devour it like it's my last meal, but this book y'all, was SO FREAKING GOOD! I loved both of the MCs, from start to finish, and never wavered. That almost never happens for me in a book!!

So Charly (short for Charlynn) comes to work for Maxx as his Girl Friday in his Garage. She is practically penniless, scrounging money for the bus fare to his town. Maxx thinks she is a guy, a young, mouthy kid. The mouthy part was right. Well, sparks fly between them both times they meet for the first time (yes, that's what I said) and Charly is determined to prove she can do the job better than anyone else could. Maxx growls and grumps along and is hiding a hurt as big as the Pacific Ocean. Things get more interesting and lines are crossed and redrawn and leaped over and the chemistry and steam and emotion roll off the page! I loved these two SO much, they are easy peasy my new favorite couple.

The friends they had were the best; Mary, Brett, Stefano - I want them to get their stories. And the Epilogue, I JUST love Epilogues and we get a great one in the book and then an Extended One to download! My heart was fat and full and bursting. I hate to limit this book to only Five Stars cause in my eyes, Holy Moly, it's worth INFINITY!

Yowsers! Absolutely LOVED this book. Melanie Moreland is one of my favorite authors and this book was great. There is a gentleness/sweetness to Melanie's writing that draws me in. The main characters, Charly/Red and Maxx were fantastic. I loved their chemistry and Charly's fiesty attitude dealing with Maxx. Grumpy/broody heroes and the women that make a difference in their lives is one of my absolute favorite tropes and this book nailed it. From the very beginning I knew I would love it. From the realization of Charly being a man to the way she changed his everyday life, it became obvious Maxx's life would never be the same and he would not be able to resist her. I highly recommend this book. I will be reading again soon!

Placing an ad for a Girl Friday takes Maxx on a wild ride when the male he assumes he has hired ends up being a female. And it is the same female he picked up at a bar the night before they were due to start on the job. This starts Melanie Moreland's perfectly written love story. Filled with angst, humor and grumpiness it was the perfect combination that her readers continuously look for. Loved the back and forth and give and take between Charly and Maxx. From one chapter to the next I knew the smile on my face was getting bigger and bigger. The baggage that the two overcome to find their HEA could not have been written any better. True and honest emotion just dripped off of every page. Once again Melanie Moreland did not disappoint.

‘Holy Moly’, I loved this story! Maxx is an absolute grumpy jerk face at least half the time and boy did that ‘chap my ass’! But Charly is just the ray of quirky sunshine to soften him up.

“...don’t be late tomorrow. I will drag you out of bed and kick your ass to get you to work.”
“I’d like to kick your ass,” I muttered.
He appeared by my elbow. “What was that?”
“I said I have gas,” I deadpanned. “You might want to leave the room.”

Charly is stuck between a rock and a hard place and needs to get out of town fast to get back on her feet. She answers an ad for a job as a Girl Friday. Charly arrives at Maxx’s garage and easy as pie turns his life upside down.

Revved To The Maxx was cute and fun, but also had a sweet and emotional storyline that tugged at the heartstrings!

“All her confessions told in the safety of the darkness, where I couldn’t see her face but could hear the pain in her voice.
They all made me hold her tighter as if I could stitch the pieces of her broken heart back together with my embrace.”

Easy peasy this is now one of my favorite books by this author!

Melanie Moreland has true gift of getting a stories to come alive as you read them. Revved to the Maxx has some really funny points and some that will pull your heart strings. Charlynn is a girl who is down on her luck looking for a job when she comes across an ad looking for a "Girls Friday" at first she skips it but desperate times call for desperate measures so she responds. Maxx is the owner and only employee of his shop he needs help due to the amount of paperwork and other office things he can't seen to handle while still doing his repair jobs. When he receives a response to his add he thinks he is hiring a young man but when he sees the little red head he almost sends her away.

When these two get together it's firework, but they both have been hurt and they both need to heal. Charly needs safety and security due to her previous situation. Due to his past Maxx won't let anyone close he doesn't trust easy and he has put walls around his heart.

A must read for all the grumpy loving people out there.

Got to say (and in saying the following, I am in now way giving up my claim on Aiden), but I think Maxx may just be my ultimate Melanie Moreland character to date. Like Aiden he ticks all my boxes. I love the grumpy alpha male, and Maxx was just that - grumpy, grouchy, stubborn and alpha - all the things that Charley loved about him. Then yes, there’s Charley, the perfect heroine, strong, funny, independent, and the bain of Maxx’s life. I loved how Charley integrated into his life so easily, she was just so sweet and easygoing. Two people made for each other, both in, and out of the bedroom. Both with trust issues, and both able to sooth each other’s balms, just too bad that they can’t see how good they could be for each other long term. Sweet, funny, with a little added drama courtesy of some creepy characters who could not take no for an answer. Highly addictive and a truly enjoyable read. I loved it. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Need a RomCom to read? I highly recommend this one. Once again Melanie has me wanting more of these two. I didn’t not want it to end. Maxx and Charly had me laughing. Even though Charly finds his ad sexist, she is truly his Girl Friday. Even if he didn’t want to admit it to himself, Maxx did fall for her and she for him. Charly brings out the best in him and what he does for her is so much more even if he didn’t want to admit that he could indeed be a forever kind of guy for her. I want more of these two just saying. I hope that Melanie decides to give us more down the road of Maxx, Charly and the others.

Funny, funny, funny - I'm still laughing at Red and all her hi-jinks. Poor Maxx doesn't have a clue. As always Melanie writes a great story with great characters. You'll pick up a few new words and sayings as well. Go pre-order this one today. It's a good read - I finished it in a day.

Considering this was my last book of the year, I wouldn't say I ended this year with a bang but let's be honest- even the year wasn't bang-worthy *sigh*.

Frankly, this author never disappoints me. And I did like this one, just not as much as some of her other works.

This could be one of those 'it's just me' sort of books for me because I really

Apart from that, it was nice and sorta sweet, sorta hot.

Maxx and Charly are hot!

Maxx is in desperate need of help at his shop and with his home life. He needs someone who can do it all. Cook, clean, organize and what he doesn’t know is he needs someone to put him back together and someone to love.

Charly is down on her luck and she responds to the ad that Maxx placed for a girl Friday.

When she responds to the ad is where all the fun begins

Maxx is so growly and gruff. Charly is a red headed spitfire who has the b*lls to challenge him in every way.

It is a fantastic stand alone book. I love everything Melanie writes.

Sparky and Sexy this was such a fun read. Charly and Maxx are both in quite desperate situations and it turns out they might just be the perfect solution for one another.
Charly is feisty and I found it so entertaining when she went out of her way to wind up the very serious and grouchy Maxx. She absolutely brings out the best in him.
This story is quirky and fun, exactly what you need in these crazy times. I loved watching as they all flourished!

Holy Moly! Melanie Moreland had me devouring the pages of this book in one sitting. Maxx and Charly had the best chemistry. I love how she kept that grumpy, curmudgeon in check with her witty comebacks, feisty and sassy attitude. I adore her. This book was fun, sexy and had kept me in a permanent smile. This firecracker of a redhead and broody mechanic is a match made in rom-com heaven. This is a must read!

Revved to the Maxx revved my heart.
Maxx needs a person who can take care of a multitude of things placing an ad for a girl Friday after back and forth with a person named Charly he decides this guy will do.
Charly has hit bottom, a thief of a roommate, the place she worked has closed and the only way she can stay in her apartment is on her knees with her nasty super. Answering and ad that will solve all her problems she leaves a day early to escape the super. While getting dinner her eyes catch a good looking man but tries to ignore him until he steps in to try and help her when she’s bothered by someone who can’t take no as an answer. Not with the correct names the two share a heated night and the next day is when the fun begins.
Maxx with trust issues tries so hard to keep Charly at arms length, it’s fun to watch.
Charly, i think she is my favorite heroine ever. Sweet, strong, can hold her own, smart and ingenious, Maxx has know idea what or where this decision is going to take him.
You’ll feel for both, drool over the heat between them and root for the HEA!

Who would have thought a simple ad for a Girl Friday would lead to this fun, entertaining journey for Maxx and Charly. Maxx placed an ad and interviews Charly online, the last person he expected to see turn up for work is the stunning woman who goes by the name of Charly because was under the impression he had hired a male to help him with his motorcycle restoration workshop, can Charly prove a woman can do this job as well as any man and more importantly will Maxx give her a chance to prove herself or will he simply judge the book by its cover.....
This book ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I swooned and fell hook, line and sinker for the extremely hot Maxx and what can I say about Charly apart from she is the woman we would all love to be. The characters are adorable and the story has the perfect mix of angst, love and humour, the banter is witty and flows so naturally and this is a book that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. I was captivated from the first page to the last line and I highly recommend you one click this gem.
